50+ couple feeling like background extras at younger meets

so we're 52 and 54, been together 28 years, came into the scene 4 years ago. love it. but lately at the events all the meets we're going to are couples in their 30s and we're very much... the experienced older couple in the room? which is fine but it has this weird dynamic where they ask us questions and we feel like the lifestyle advice column instead of just being there for a night out. anyone else navigate the age gap thing at parties... not the meet itself but the power weirdness of being the elders in the room
