anyone done a Cuban LS takeover recently since the regulation shake-ups, hows the scene now

this is more of a niche question but i know some of you have been doing cuban LS travel for years and i need a current state of the scene. quick context, were a canadian couple late 40s, weve done a few cuban LS trips back when there were a couple of small operators running takeovers at Varadero and Cayo Coco properties in like 2018-2019. great vibe, smaller crowds, less expensive than mexican stuff, the resorts themselves were dated but the LS energy made up for it. then covid, then various canadian and us policy changes, then various cuban-side regulations, and honestly i lost track of whats still operating. ive heard scattered things. some operators stopped going to cuba, others moved their takeovers to DR or jamaica instead, the on-the-ground experience at cuban resorts has gotten harder bc of shortages (food, drinks, basic stuff), and the US guests can or cant come depending on the current rules. the cdn side is fine for us, were just trying to understand if its even worth booking still. anyone been to a Cuban LS takeover in 2024 or 2025. did the experience hold up. is the LS community still going there or has it migrated. and which operators are still actually running cuban events (not just advertising and then quietly cancelling). honest takes, were not afraid of a slightly less luxurious week, we just dont want to fly there and find out the takeover got canned or the resort ran out of beer on tuesday.
