backup outfit in the boot of the car... smart or paranoid

so after a near miss last month where i spilled red wine on my dress 20 mins before we were due at a club night, my wife has insisted we keep a full backup outfit each in a bag in the boot of the car... she thinks this is genius and ive been thinking about it and im not sure if its smart prep or weve gone full paranoid mode. like the bag is just sitting there in case of emergency, but how often does the emergency happen. is anyone else doing this or is she taking the prep thing too far. and if you do, what goes in the bag — full outfit or just a top and something neutral. shoes too or no...
