barrister, BSB, and being a slut on the weekends... can these coexist genuinely asking. been called 7yrs, commercial set in london, and dh (also legal but in house) and i have been LS curious for ages but ive been holding back bc the BSB handbook has that lovely catch all about behaviour that "could diminish public trust" and ive seen disciplinary outcomes for some genuinely wild stuff that had nothing to do with practice. like the bar is so small and gossipy, chambers tea is a bloodsport, and the idea of someone clocking us at a london club gives me hives. but also... ngl im 38 and tired of being sensible. anyone here practising at the bar (or solicitor side) who can give me a reality check on whether ive built this up into something worse than it is? not looking for legal advice obviously just lived experience...
