black couple in bristol... we are usually the only ones in the room

me and the wife been doing clubs round bristol n bath for about a year now and every single time we walk in we clock it... we are the only black couple in there. sometimes the only people of colour full stop. the vibe is mostly fine ppl are friendly enough but theres always that lingering thing where someone wants to talk to us first thing and its always about... well you know what its about. anyone else in the uk scene dealing w this. how do you stop scanning the room the second you walk in. its exhausting tbh and we havent figured out how to switch it off yet...
