can hear my wife through the wall and idk if its hot or ruining my session

F33/M35 here, year and a half in, started w soft swap and moved to full swap around month 9. our usual setup is separate rooms in a hotel suite or someone's house. so we played saturday at a house party in tampa, two adjoining bedrooms, normal interior walls not thick. and the whole time i could hear her. like specifically her, i know what she sounds like. and the guy she was with too. half my brain was very into it, like extra turned on knowing she was having a good time across the wall. the other half kept getting pulled out of my own thing because i was tracking her noises instead of being present with the woman in front of me. the woman with me definitely noticed btw she said afterwards "you were a little distracted weren't you" and she wasnt mad just observant. now im wondering, is this a separate-room problem we need to solve (white noise machine, further apart rooms, music) or is this actually a sign we should just do same room since apparently i cant tune her out anyway. also is it disrespectful to my play partner to be that pulled toward sounds from another room. what's your take, do you treat hearing as a feature or a bug
