chargeable toys vs battery... practicality for weekends away

were upgrading the toy drawer and looking at a couple of the lelo and we-vibe ones that are usb rechargeable, but my friend (also in the LS) reckons battery is still the way to go for travel because if you forget the charger or theres no plug youre stuffed... shes got a point but the rechargeable ones feel nicer in the hand and quieter too. so what do you actually take to weekends away — chargeable bc the quality is better, battery bc its more reliable, or do you bring both. and how does a charger going through airport security work, has anyone had grief...
