christmas eve and a play partner just slid into my dms... how do you handle the urge during family time?

okay confession. its christmas eve, im at my parents house in newcastle, my husband's playing monopoly with my nieces, ive had two glasses of mulled wine and a play partner from a meet up in september just sent the most ridiculous "merry christmas..." dm with photos. and im sitting there next to the tree absolutely buzzing trying to act normal. is this just me? how do you switch the brain off when you're in full family mode? do you turn the apps off entirely over christmas or do you keep ticking along? i feel like a teenager hiding her phone from her dad. mid thirties btw, this should not be happening to me anymore lol
