clinical psychologist in the LS, the dual relationship anxiety is wild

clin psych, NHS + private practice in edinburgh, dh and i have been LS for nearly 4yrs and its been great until last month when i swear to god i saw an ex client at a meet and greet. now im spiralling. like the BPS code talks about avoiding dual relationships and obvs i wouldnt knowingly play with a current or former client but the LS world is small enough that i clearly cannot guarantee i wont end up in a room with someone i've worked with clinically. how do other therapists/psychologists/counsellors handle this?? do u just check the room every time and bail if u see someone? do u limit yourself to clubs far from where u practise? the ethical/legal/insurance implications if it ever went sideways are genuinely terrifying...
