ghosting from vanilla matches the moment we disclose LS... is this normal?

sometimes we match with someone who seemed vanilla in profile but the convo gets flirty and we figure ok worth being upfront about being a couple/LS. nine times out of ten... silence. no goodbye, no curious questions, just vanished. is this just standard ghosting culture or is there something specifically painful about being ghosted after disclosure? feels different to me than regular ghosting somehow. like a tiny rejection of the whole lifestyle not just us. anyone else feel this or am i being sensitive...
