"hetero-flexible" is doing a lot of work and i want to talk about it

ok so this is gonna ruffle some feathers maybe. you know the term "hetero-flexible" you see in profiles all the time, usually from blokes. "im hetero-flexible in the right situation" "open to play but identify as straight" etc. and im not trying to police anyones identity but as an out bi bloke in his 40s ive started to notice how often this term lets men get the benefits of bi play without ever having to actually say theyre bi. and i get why. coming out as bi as a man is still genuinely hard even in ENM spaces. but i also wonder if the word is doing harm. is it a useful stepping stone or is it letting people off the hook from a small but real bit of honesty. genuine question im not trying to start a fight
