how do you tell if a resort/takeover week is gonna skew older 50+ vs younger party crowd before you book
this might be the most basic question but i cant find a good answer anywhere. were a couple early 30s and weve been to 2 LS trips and both times we ended up at events where the average couple was 25 years older than us and we felt completely out of place. not the older couples' fault at all, they were lovely, but the music, the energy, the activities, none of it was for us. so we want to be smarter about this trip. the thing is, all the marketing materials look the same. every resort website shows mixed-age couples on the beach drinking champagne. the youtube vlogs are made by the same 5 influencers who are all 30-something. the IG feeds are aspirational and dont show the real demographic mix. how do you actually figure out, before paying, whether a specific week is gonna lean retired couples vs late 20s/early 30s party couples? ive heard things like — Desire is older, Hedo is mixed, Bliss takeovers are younger, NIN is mixed, certain cruise lines skew older, certain takeover companies skew younger. but is there a better way than just word of mouth. like a tool, a forum where ppl share the previous year's demographic data, anything? also, is it rude/weird to ask the booking agent directly "what was the average age last year". feels rude but might just be efficient.
