husband on north sea oil rig 2 on 3 off... the cycle of together/apart and how LS fits

hes been working aberdeen rigs for 6 yrs, 2 weeks on the rig and 3 at home in newcastle. we got into LS about 4 yrs ago. the rotation actually works really well for us cos when hes home we go HARD on the LS stuff, were like a couple on holiday for 3 weeks. but every time hes back at sea i go thru this weird grief thing... not just missing him but missing US as a LS couple. anyone else on rig schedules and how do u handle the emotional whiplash of going from full-on LS together for 3 weeks to celibate for 2 then back again. does it ever get easier
