invited as a bull to a couples only club what's the etiquette of leaving

sydney based, couple im playing with brought me as their plus one to a couples-only club for the night. it was great, we played in their private room, but then they wanted to go socialise in the main area and i was unsure if i was technically allowed there as a single guy or if their cover only extended to the room. nobody stopped me but i felt visible in a way that maybe wasn't ok. and then they wanted to stay later and i wasnt sure if i should bow out so they could be a couple in the club for a bit, or if leaving early would seem ungrateful. the whole "you're a bull at a couples place" etiquette is not written anywhere
