is bringing your own towel and a small pillow to club nights weird now or actually quite sensible
genuine question, no judgement. me and the wife are early 40s, been doing the london scene for about 6 yrs, mostly the bigger fetish-adjacent clubs in vauxhall and the odd hotel takeover up the m1. for the longest time i thought ppl who brought their own kit looked a bit precious. like, the club provides towels, the play rooms have pillows on the bed, what more do you need. then about a yr ago we did a really busy takeover in birmingham and the towel situation by 1am was, lets just say, not what id call fresh. and the pillows in one of the rooms had clearly been through a few sessions before us, no shade to the venue staff bc those nights are mental, but the wife and i ended up just using a bath towel from our hotel room which we'd packed and it was so much nicer that weve done it every night since. small folded clean towel each, sometimes a thin travel pillow if its a hotel takeover bc you can take it back to your room after. but. ive also clocked that some couples notice. and a couple of times another bloke has made a comment like "ooh look at you with the matching set" in a way that wasnt mean but wasnt kind either. and i dont want to be the couple thats weirdly precious about hygiene at a sex club, thats absurd, but i also dont fancy a damp shared towel at 2am. is bringing your own kit just normal lifestyle hygiene at this point or have we become THOSE ppl who turn up with their own bedding. and what about water bottles and a flannel for cleanup, is that one step too far
