is checking my phone at a lifestyle club actually rude or am i being paranoid bc somebody side eyed me last week

fine line question abt phone use, would appreciate ppl who've been around longer. so last fri my husband and i are sitting at a high top in the lounge, hes in the bathroom, and i pulled out my phone to check on our dog (we have a camera, dog had been sick that morning). literally 20 seconds, screen turned away from anyone, then back in the bag. when i looked up this woman at a nearby high top was giving me a LOOK. like sustained scowl. our eyes met and she went back to her drink. f36 he 38, only at this club 8 months but we go regularly. now i cant stop wondering if i broke some unwritten rule. the club has a clearly posted "no photos no video no recording" policy obvi. i wasnt taking pictures, i was checking a dog cam. but i guess from her angle she had no way to know what i was looking at. so my question is like... is even pulling out a phone in the lounge considered rude these days. is it specifically taking it out of your pocket vs leaving it on the table face down. is it ok at the bar but not in the lounge but not at all in the playroom. is there a tiered map of where the phone is and isn't ok that i missed. also btw weve seen ppl on their phones plenty of times at this same club so its not like its banned banned. but maybe theres a softer norm im not getting. would love the actual unwritten version of the rule
