is Kasidie actually still active in mid-size cities or is SLS the only real option in 2026

ok so dh and I (34F/36M, married 6yrs, been LS curious since fall) finally pulled the trigger on profiles. we live in a metro thats maybe 350k people, not huge not tiny, like a tier 2 city in the midwest if that helps. we paid for Kasidie because everyone on reddit was like "kasidie is the quality one" but tbh after 3 weeks we got like 4 actual conversations and 2 ghosted within a day. meanwhile SLS we havent paid yet and theres way more profiles showing as active in our area but my gut says half are bots or dead accounts from 2019 with their last login hidden. idk. talked to a couple at our gym (yes we found out they are in the LS, long story for another day lol) and they said they basically dropped Kasidie last summer and SLS is where everyone migrated to. but then i see posts saying the opposite for like Denver or Tampa. so I think it really depends on the city? has anyone done the actual side by side recently in a city our size, not a huge one. and is paying for SLS even worth it before we know if anyone real is on there. feel like we are burning $50 a month on Kasidie for no reason rn
