is the brixton alt-night actually a thing or am i imagining a scene

ok genuine question, kept hearing whispers abt a sorta indie/post-punk leaning ls night that pops up in brixton at a basement venue, like the music is actually good n the crowd is all tattoos n vintage band tees rather than the usual lounge house vibe... went last month n it was genuinely The Best night out we've had in ages, dj playing nick cave then idles then some witchhouse stuff, n ppl were actually dancing not just posing... played w a couple who recommended us a record label after... is this happening in other cities too or is brixton special? we're desperate to find the same vibe in bristol or glasgow
