israel/palestine convo erupted at a couples dinner... how do u even

so we hosted a small dinner with 3 couples we've known for a while before going to a club. someone brought up the situation in gaza and it derailed. shouting at one point. two couples now refuse to attend anything if the third is invited. our whole little group is fractured and we just wanted to have dinner before fucking. how do u stop the world from coming into the lifestyle bc its happening more and more and i don't kno how to host anymore...
