long haul pilot in the LS, the layover thing is more complicated than it sounds
so the stereotype is pilots are all up to no good on layovers and ngl the reality for some of my mates is not far off, but me and my wife are actually in the LS together (ethically, open, all communicated) and the layover situation is its own weird puzzle. like im in a different city 3-4 nights a week, often in places with great LS scenes, but i cant exactly turn up at a club in my crew hotel city bc the airline crowd is small and gossipy. ive also got the CAA thing in the back of my head, fit to fly assessments etc, which arent really about your personal life but you dont want to be the cabin gossip either. fellow flight crew in the LS, how do u handle it? do u just stay celibate on trips and only play together at home or is there a smarter way...
