LS in channel islands or isle of man, does it exist?

genuinely curious question for the niche... we're considering a move to jersey for tax/work reasons and obviously the LS factor is way down the priority list but its still in our heads. island communities tend to be small and gossipy, which is the worst combination for a discreet scene. anyone actually living in jersey guernsey or the isle of man with experience of the scene there, or is it basically zero and we should plan for fly-out weekends to london or paris
