LS vocab is wildly different between UK aus and canadian english and im L2 and lost

so im german, husband is also german, weve lived in three countries for his job in the last seven years. uk for two, australia for three, now perth (still aus) but considering a move to vancouver next. we're early 40s, no kids, in the LS about five years now total. heres my problem. ive learned LS vocab THREE times. in the uk it was "soft swap / full swap / unicorn / hotwifing" and a lot of euphemisms. moved to sydney and suddenly its "lifestylers" and ppl using "spit roast" casually in profiles and a whole different set of acronyms i had to ask about. now we're in perth and its a smaller scene with its own micro vocab again. and friends in toronto have told me canadian profiles use words ive never seen written down anywhere. it's not just the words, its the social meaning. like "soft" means slightly different things in different scenes and i've embarrassed myself multiple times agreeing to something based on my UK definition. i used "play" in an australian profile last year and got messages that were way more intense than i was expecting because apparently the local read of it was different than what i meant. are any other expat / migrating couples carrying their LS vocab around with them and constantly translating, or do you just bin the old version every move and start fresh.
