mating in captivity — read by every couple in the LS or just me

so i finally finished mating in captivity last weekend (yes ik im about 18 yrs late to this party) and i swear every other paragraph i was elbowing my husband going "this is us, this is literally what happened to us". ended up texting two of our regulars asking if theyd read it. one had read it twice, the other had never heard of it. so now im curious about the actual reading habits of this community. is this book basically required reading for long term couples whove ended up in the lifestyle, or is it a fluke that the couples we know who have read it have all ended up here. and if u HAVE read it, did it change anything for u, or did u just nod along going "yep, knew that" the whole way. also genuinely asking what u read AFTER it. like she opens a door, what does the door lead to in terms of a next book, because i want more and i dont want to end up with a stack of fluffy "spice up your marriage" airport books instead
