people say "the LS made us stronger" all the time and i wanted to actually unpack what stronger means for us bc the phrase has become a bit hollow. we are stronger because we know what each other looks like under pressure that isnt money or kids. we are stronger because we've seen each other choose us out loud in front of other beautiful people, repeatedly. we are stronger because we've had to apologise in ways that mattered, not the dishwasher apologies. we are stronger because we've laughed at ourselves a lot. we are stronger because we trust each others judgement on hard calls in a way most of our vanilla friends dont. that's what stronger means, for us. nine years married, four years in this. wouldnt change a thing...
