mycoplasma genitalium — anyone else dealing with this one... no one warns you

so apparently there's a whole sti that doesn't even get tested for routinely on the nhs and we just found out the hard way. dh has had a persistent urethritis for about 6 weeks. went thru 2 rounds of doxy for "presumed chlamydia" even tho chlamydia tested neg, nothing helped. finally a private clinic in cardiff tested for mycoplasma genitalium and bingo, positive. now we're both on a fairly intense azithromycin and moxifloxacin combo and apparently this thing is getting really resistant to antibiotics. has anyone else dealt with this. how widespread is it in the LS community really. and why is no one talking about it. feels like the gonorrhoea of 10 years ago, lurking and getting harder to treat
