partner of colour got ghosted after the meet... was that what we think it was

were a couple, my partner is filipino-australian, im white australian, sydney based. we had a really lovely first meet w another couple, drinks dinner went home together had a great time. exchanged numbers said we d def do it again. then... silence. my texts get read but no replies. its been three weeks. the part that bothers us isnt the ghosting exactly its that a couple weeks later we saw them post about meeting another couple n the new partner was white. probably nothing. probably coincidence. but it nags at us a bit. has anyone been in this kind of situation. how do u not spiral about it...
