pet names that only come out in ls contexts... is that a thing?

so this is kinda funny... at home she's "babe" or "love" or just her name. but the second we're at a meet or a club she becomes "kitten" and i don't even know when this started. she calls me "sir" in those contexts too but its half ironic, half not. literally never use either word in the kitchen making toast. anyone else have like a separate vocabulary for ls vs everyday life? feels like we have two languages for two versions of our relationship and the switch happens automatically...
