rebuilding LS rhythm after he comes back from a year in saudi... feels like starting over

he was contracting in riyadh for a year and we paused everything LS the whole time. hes been home 3 months now and we keep talking abt getting back into it but it feels weird. like we forgot how we did it. our old play partners have moved on, our regular club closed during covid (we' re late 30s couple in birmingham), and honestly we feel rusty as hell. has anyone else come back from a long pause and how did u get the rhythm back. do u just go to a meet and dive in or do u rebuild slow
