recovery and ls, my sponsors reaction was not what i expected

so im in recovery, 4 years off the booze, work a programme, have a sponsor i love and trust. wife and i opened up the marriage and joined the lifestyle about 18 months in, very slowly, very carefully. last week i finally told my sponsor about the lifestyle bit. id been carrying it as a "thing i wasnt sharing" for a while and it was starting to feel like a secret which i know is dangerous in recovery. and her reaction was... she paused, asked some quiet questions, and basically said "is this expanding your life or is this another way to chase a feeling". i was ready for shock or judgement. that question hit harder than either. im still sitting with it. any others in recovery with a similar conversation...
