rural cornwall and theres no scene, change my mind

lived in cornwall my whole life and im 34 now, into the lifestyle for about three years on and off... every app i open shows me people in plymouth at the closest and even thats nearly two hours each way. the local couples i have matched with all turn out to be holiday homers from london or birmingham who only visit twice a year. is there genuinely no scene down here or am i looking in the wrong places... bit demoralising tbh, feels like ive missed the boat by being where i am
