separated but we still go to the same clubs, how is this real life

soft split for now. living separately, kids on a rota, hopefully reconciling but realistic about it not working. the weird thing is we both still want to be in the scene cuz it's our community and frankly we both still enjoy it. so we've been showing up to the same club nights solo and... it's the most surreal thing in the world? we'll wave across the room, sometimes share a drink, then go play with different people, then bump into each other at the buffet at 1am like nothing's weird. our friends don't know what to do with us. anyone else done this? is this a sign we're actually fine or are we just incredibly dysfunctional and we don't know it yet
