"show face if youre real" is doing my head in

every other message we get on the apps is "show face if youre real". we dont, on principle, because hubby works in education and one slip ends his career. ive started ignoring those messages entirely cuz it feels like the person doesnt understand discretion at all. but then i wonder if were missing genuine ppl who got burned by catfish and are just being cautious. how do you handle this without sending a face pic to every rando... we've done video verification on the call before meeting but some ppl wont even get to that stage without a face shot first. starting to think the apps are just full of timewasters now
