sinn fein or unionist couples in the NI scene... the elephant in the room

belfast based couple here. the NI scene is small and lovely but theres this thing nobody talks about openly which is u kno fine well some couples are nationalist and some are unionist and it lurks. nobody asks at events but u kinda figure it out from accent, school they mention, area they live, whether they say londonderry or derry... how do other NI couples handle this. do u just never bring it up or do u actively seek out ppl on ur side...
