small town GP in regional australia + LS, the village factor is brutal im a GP in a town of about 6k in regional NSW. dh works remotely. weve been LS curious for a couple yrs and have done a few meets when weve travelled to sydney but never anywhere close to home obvs. the issue is ive got like 80% of the town on my books. like genuinely if i go to the pub on a friday night im seeing patients from the moment i walk in. the LS in a small regional town is essentially impossible to do locally and i think ive made peace w that. what im wrestling with more is whether even the sydney trips are safe enough... sydney is huge but regional NSW ppl go to sydney for the weekend constantly. has anyone done the rural medicine + LS combination at all? feels like im going to either have to commit to being a sydney weekend tourist forever or just accept this isnt for us...
