so we're vegan and the hosts served lamb...

ok this is silly but it's eating at me lol... me n the wife went to a small dinner play thing in north london, lovely couple, very welcoming, drinks were great n the vibe was on. only problem is they put down a whole lamb shoulder and we're both proper plant-based... she made a wee joke about us "eating the lamb later" pointing at her husband and everyone laughed but i could feel my missus tense up. we ended up nibbling salad n bread for two hrs, then it got awkward at play time bc i could literally smell rosemary lamb on his beard when we kissed... am i being precious or do other vegan ls couples just like... ask in advance? feel like i sound mental but the dietary thing actually killed my buzz n we left early. anyone else navigate this without being That Couple
