south asian couple in manchester ls scene... no one looks like us

we are both british pakistani in our late 30s, manchester, been in the scene about a year. and we have honestly not met another south asian couple at any event we have been to. not one. we know they exist obviously but where are they. the cultural stuff makes it hard right, the family stuff, the community stuff. we get it. but it does make us feel a bit alien in the scene sometimes... like we have to over explain ourselves or be the ambassadors. anyone out there in similar shoes, how do u find ur ppl. is there a private network we are missing...
