texting roleplay during the work day before a meet, do u stay in character?

right so this is more of a build up question than a play scene... whenever we have a meet planned w another couple or a club night booked, me and the wife have started doing "in character" texting all day at work leading up to it. like if were doing a "strangers" scene at a hotel bar that night, ill text her like i havnt met her, she texts back like she doesnt know me. we've gotten quite good at it now, sometimes we even invent the "story" of how we're supposedly meeting that night thru the text exchanges over the day. anyone else do this? do u stay fully in character or just lightly suggestive? wonder if were overdoing it...
