the "tax" being a single guy means i do all the work and i'm tired
venting a bit here, four years in the scene as a single guy in melbourne. i drive to them, i pay for hotels when we meet, i bring wine, i bring condoms, i bring snacks, i adjust my schedule around theirs, i wait weeks for replies, i get tested constantly and pay for it, i go through interview after interview to be vetted... and then they cancel the night before and reschedule three times. this is just the deal isnt it. like, i love the play when it happens but the unpaid labour of being a single bloke in this lifestyle is wild and nobody really talks about it. is there a point where the math flips or do you just accept the tax forever
