the thank-you bottle for the host couple... is this a thing or just us? so whenever we go to a house party we always bring a nice bottle of something for the host couple. nothing crazy expensive, usually a nice bottle of red or a decent gin from the local farm shop near us. and we always leave it in the kitchen w a little note on a post it. "thanks for having us, was lovely" or whatever. nothing weird, just a thing we do. is this normal etiquette in the lifestyle or are we extra? feels like a basic guest thing but i've noticed not everyone does it... curious what other ppl bring or if its just dinner party rules applied to ls...
