tiktok vanilla-but-curious trend, is the mainstream actually shifting or are we just being shown what we already watch
my fyp has gone completely wild the last 6 months. its all young couples in their twenties posting "how we opened up" voiceovers, polyam-curious explainer accounts, "we're monog but considering" little soft confessional clips, the lot. and i can't tell if this represents an actual cultural shift in how the next generation is approaching non monogamy, or if im just being algo-served the version of tiktok that reflects what im already searching and watching elsewhere. because to me as someone in their late thirties whos been in the LS over 5 yrs, the public conversation feels miles ahead of where it was when we first opened up. but my single friends who arent into any of this say their fyp looks nothing like mine and they hardly see this content at all. so whats real here. for any of u who are around younger LS or ENM-curious people in real life (not just online), do they actually talk about this stuff differently than we did at their age, or is the tiktok wave purely vibes
