turned out an anonymous reddit poster we'd been reading for ages was a couple we'd actually played with, anyone else had this happen

absolutely surreal experience i need to share. so theres this couple on r/swingers and a few related subs whos posts ive been following for ages, like the kind of poster where u see the username and u stop scrolling because u know it'll be a good read. they post longer than average, very specific writing voice, midlands sort of english, talk about a fairly specific kind of dynamic. anyway. last month we hosted a small thing, four couples total, and over breakfast on sunday one of the women starts telling a story about a meet they had ages ago, and i realise word for word ive read this story before, on reddit, like 2 yrs ago, in a now-deleted post i remember vividly because the writing was so good. i didnt say anything obviously but ive been sitting with this ever since. has this happened to anyone else, where the online anonymous voice and the real life person turned out to be the same. did u tell them. did u keep it to urself like i have. and weirdly does it change how u feel reading their posts now
