two yrs soft and we're ready to talk full... how did THAT convo go for you

ok so my dh and i are 38/41, been in LS scene almost 2 yrs now, all soft, mostly same-room. last weekend on the drive home she said "i think im ready to talk about more" and like... my stomach dropped lol. not in a bad way? more like ok now its real. we've always said full was off the table so this is a whole new thing. how did yall actually have that conversation, like did u sit down at the kitchen table or did it just kinda spill out... and did anyone get there and realize they were NOT actually ready once it came up for real. tbh im also worried that once we cross the line theres no going back to soft being enough
