uniform night at a manchester club, how do u keep it tasteful?

so theres a club up here that does a "uniform" theme night once a quarter, nurse, teacher, police officer that kind of thing... obvs all adult fantasy stuff no one in actual uniform from real jobs being weird about it. me and the wife went last month, she went as a 90s air hostess (her mums actual old kit lol), i went as a fake doctor scrubs job lot from amazon. felt v silly walking in but once u see everyone else in costume u just relax into it. question is, how do you lot keep the uniform thing from getting cringe or crossing into stuff thats off limits? we kept it firmly in "adult fantasy" lane but i wanna hear how others draw the line...
