we got mugged in fancy dress walking home from a themed night... story for the ages

this is genuinely the funniest story we own. themed night at a london venue, dress code was 1920s. we left at like 2am, walked toward the night bus, and two guys tried to mug us. now imagine my husband in a full pinstripe with a fake gun in the holster (prop, plastic, very clearly fake) and me in a flapper dress and feathers. the muggers genuinely backed off like they thought they'd picked the wrong people. we LEGGED IT laughing the whole way to the bus. police were brilliant when we reported it later, even they laughed. has anyone else had a wild journey home from a themed LS night?
