we sent zero message after a great night, was that bad of us

feeling a bit guilty. we met a couple in dublin two weeks ago at a private party, ended up in a soft swap situation that was honestly fantastic, everyone seemed happy. then... we just never messaged. nothing weird happened, we got back to normal life, time slipped. my partner mentioned them last night and i realised we'd basically ghosted these lovely people. would it be mental to send something now two weeks later or is the boat well and truly sailed? i feel proper rude in hindsight
