weekend in brighton with a couple weve only chatted to online any horror stories so we matched with this couple from the south coast about 6 weeks ago, theyre our age, similar tastes, weve been chatting almost daily and it just escalated from "lets grab a coffee" to "lets book brighton for a weekend" without ever actually meeting in person. on one hand the chat has been incredible and im fizzing about it. on the other hand... weve literally never been in the same room. partner is a bit more nervous than me, keeps saying what if they look different to their photos or what if his vibe is creepy in person. were thinking of booking a hotel rather than a shared airbnb so we have an exit. is that overcautious or just sensible. anyone else jumped straight to a weekend with strangers and either lived to tell a great tale or had it go sideways. brighton itself is lovely so even worst case its a nice weekend i guess
