Wicked Travel takeover at a Riu vs SDC takeover vs Original Group property — quality difference real

so were planning our second resort trip of 2026 and im trying to compare the three biggest takeover orgs in the LS travel space. we've done one SDC takeover (cruise, loved it), zero Wicked Travel, zero Original Group properties. im looking at a Wicked Travel takeover at a Riu in punta cana for october and im trying to figure out if it matches up to what we already know. heres my concern. when an LS travel company does a takeover at a "normal" resort like a Riu, the property itself isnt designed for the lifestyle. the staff isnt trained for it, the playrooms have to be improvised, the layout doesnt favor mingling. so the question is — does Wicked Travel make a normal resort feel like a lifestyle resort for the week, or does it always feel like a regular hotel with a bunch of LS couples awkwardly trying to play around the rules. vs SDC which often books takeovers at properties that already cater to adults (Temptation, Desire, etc), and vs Original Group which owns its own LS-friendly properties outright. ppl who've done a Wicked Travel takeover at a non-LS resort — does the magic still happen. is the staff "in on it" or are you constantly worried housekeeping is gonna walk in. does the food/service drop from regular Riu quality bc theyre overwhelmed. is the cost per couple comparable or way different. couple early 40s, 4 years in the LS, not super demanding but we know what we like.
