wife came home with no story because the bull didnt perform... how did you handle this

M40 / F38, hotwife dynamic about 2 yrs. last night she came home from a hotel meet with a new bull (3rd date with him, we vetted him for months) and the whole thing was a flop. he couldnt get hard. he tried twice. they ended up just talking, having wine, she came home at 11. i was waiting at home with the whole expectation of the kitchen floor debrief, the story, the everything. and instead she came home a little flat, a little awkward, kind of embarrassed for him. we sat on the couch and she just said "nothing happened, he was nervous, we talked about his job for an hour, it was actually kind of sweet but theres no story". and then we sat there for a minute. and i realized i had no script for this. all our debrief rituals assume something happened. when nothing happens, what is there to debrief. she felt bad for him. i felt vaguely... cheated? not by her, by the night. like i had spent 2 weeks of anticipation for nothing. and that made me feel like an asshole for being disappointed when nothing happening should objectively be fine. how do you handle the no-story night. do you talk about it the same length as a regular night just about different things. do you skip the debrief. does she follow up with him later or write him off. and how do you reset your own anticipation engine after one of these
