User guide : obuny, step by step

First visit or just a memory lapse: here’s how to do everything, from signing up to your first message.

Create your account

1. 1Tap “Create my free account”choose a nickname: your real name appears nowhere. No credit card.
2. 2Confirm your email addresswith the code you receive by email.
3. 3Add your first photoit’s required. Want to hide a face? Blur it before posting.

Complete your profile

1. 1Open your profilethen the “⋮” menu at the top, and choose “Edit profile”.
2. 2Fill in each sectionbasic information, identity, situation, language, privacy.
3. 3Saveeach section saves separately.

Post a photo or some text

1. 1Tap the “+” buttonat the top of the screen, then “Post”.
2. 2Add a photo, or just writea post can also be text only.
3. 3Choose Public or Privatea private photo is only visible to your friends. Tick “also as a story” or “main photo” if you like.
4. 4Choose where to poston your profile and in the feed, and if you like, in a room or in the Community too.
5. 5Post itevery photo is checked by moderation.

Post a story

1. 1Tap “+”, then “Story”choose a photo from your gallery, or take one with the camera.
2. 2Blur if neededa face, a detail: in one tap.
3. 3Choose who sees iteveryone, or “Friends only”.
4. 4Post itit disappears on its own after 24 hours.

Create an event or ask a question

1. 1Tap “+”then “Event” or “Question”.
2. 2For an eventadd a poster, the date and the region; optionally, the number of places and a contact.
3. 3For a questionwrite your question and a little detail: the Community will answer.

Message someone

1. 1Open their profileand send your message: it’s free, with no match to wait for.
2. 2Depending on their settingsyour message arrives directly, or in their Requests, where they choose whether to reply.
3. 3Need discretion?once the conversation is accepted, turn on vanish mode: messages disappear when you leave the conversation.

Choose who can message you

1. 1Open “My preferences”then “Messaging preferences”.
2. 2Set “Who can message me directly?”couples, women, men: the profiles you choose land straight in your conversations.
3. 3Everyone else waits in your Requestsyou reply when you like, or never.

Become friends and see private photos

1. 1On a profile, tap “Add friend”the person receives your request.
2. 2They accept, or notit’s their decision.
3. 3Once you’re friendsyou can each see the other’s private photos, posts and stories.

Say you’re free

1. 1Tap “I’m free now” or “I’m free tonight”you appear among the available members.
2. 2See who’s freeon the Available map, near you.
3. 3Someone bothering you?restrict them to hide yourself from their Available list.

Join a room

1. 1Open “Discover rooms”rooms are specific to your country.
2. 2Tap “Join”the room is added to your list.
3. 3Chat as a groupthen carry on in private by message, if you like.

Block, restrict, mute, report

1. 1Open the “⋮” menuon the person’s profile, in your conversation, or on a post.
2. 2Choose the right action“Block”; “Restrict”, which they can’t see; “Mute” for a conversation; “Report”, then give the reason.
3. 3It’s reversibleapart from reporting, every setting can be undone at any time.

Manage your photos

1. 1Open the photothen tap the three dots.
2. 2“Set as main photo”it then shows next to your nickname.
3. 3“Delete”to remove it, at any time.

Get your profile verified

Couples and women: in the menu, tap “Verify my profile”, then follow the Verification conversation. A blue badge then appears next to your nickname.

Delete your account

1. 1Open Settingsfrom your profile.
2. 2Tap “Delete my account”deletion is immediate; your private content is erased within 30 days.
